Osaka Castle - at the time of its construction in 1582 and was the largest fortified castle in Japan.

Castle had embody the power and wealth of its owner - warlord Toyotomi Hideeschi who united Japan.

The history of the castle is closely linked to the history of Japan. Restoration of the castle, which was destroyed by American bombing of the Second World War ended in 1998, turning it into a museum dedicated to Toyotomi Hideeschi and his time.
